The site following demolition in 2021. Applications were made to build several dwellings and make use of the land in the past decade, with a section of the building going up for sale but not the other. No agreement was made nor was a sale achieved as planned. Meanwhile the building fell into severe dereliction and was used mostly by homeless residents. Eventually the site was declared unsafe and the council ordered demolition in 2021, with an urban development of apartments now underway to replace it.
