Fast forward to the time of our visit, and both Jamie and Jonathan Seddon who attended Malsis School in the early 1980s were keen to bring the building back to life after hearing it fell into disuse. Malsis School Trust agreed to the idea and sold the land and buildings formerly occupied by the school to Seddon Developments, part of the family-run Seddon Solutions group. Seddon this, Seddon that, if you google the company there’s about a dozen different branches of it on the first page alone - they’re a massive construction firm that are known across the country so it’s no surprise that a commercial venture and housing estate was earmarked for Malsis on behalf of the brothers.
