Combined with the image above it's clear to see the journey that the hall has taken over the past century. If we've come to realise anything it's that a fate such as is this is increasingly rare for British heritage. Yes, it may cost an arm and a leg to live there now but to overcome such controversy and come out looking the way it does, well that's a success story if ever there was one.
