Above and below are not my images - I never returned to see the project finished, but as you can see true to their word the main building itself was converted into a specialist care facility in 2019 and the grounds covered in private housing. For a brilliant building to be revived in such a way, it seems it has to lose half of its grounds to private housing and welcome inhabitants that are able to pay for premium private fulltime care and/or accommodation, but as we’ve seen many times it can be one of the only ways to restore such a place as this to the required standards and survive long term under private ownership. With any hope the more recent turbulent history of Malsis Hall can make way for some appreciation for its more respectable history
