For many decades the mills here would draw in tourism from all around Britain. The mills eventually came to have their own on-site shop where people would travel from miles around to buy direct from the factory, or to have custom designs and weaves to suit their fashion styles. The factory would barely need to advertise due to steady demand. As you can see, after almost half a century the dyed wool left on the shelves has barely lost any of its luminance despite being left to the elements, which is a true testament to the quality of yarn that was produced here.
