Somehow vintage graffiti doesn’t seem as unsightly when it reaches a certain age. Scratchings that date back to 1964, 1919 and 1958 can be found on the back of the pews. It’s unlikely this would’ve been by adults – most likely some bored boy scouts during assembly’s and talks. It’s entirely likely that some of these young boys are now elderly and perhaps still living in this village which probably still only has a handful of families living in it.
