This plaque towards the front of the chapel reads ‘oriel yr amuynwr’ which translates to ‘multi-faceted gallery’ dated 1916. Boy scouts often used men of power or historical achievement as role models for their activities and learning. These may have also been people within the mining or Christian community, given the fact that the chapel appears to have continued its use for congregation into the early 20th century.
