At the time of our visit, the roof was still intact, so for the most part the grandeur of the ceiling was still very much in place. Historic England's listing for the hall described this centerpiece as 'rococo-style stucco decoration: central swirling acanthus leaves; coving with baskets of flowers, thick trails of flowers, oak-leaf and other classical moulding.'
