There was still a fair few family items and heirlooms lying around the house. A vintage photograph perhaps of one of their children and paintings that appeared to be from around Lancashire had been left on the mantelpiece. Why everything else was taken but these left behind I have no idea - but it's relatively common with these types of places and I can only imagine it's lack of sentimentality from the family of the deceased. Their first born Betty died according to records in 1997. Presuming she was the last person to live here, this would coincide with the house itself which has likely not been lived in since.
